University of Hull
The University of Hull was established as a college of the University of London in 1927 and achieved its independence in 1954. In 1996 the University of Hull merged with the former Humberside College of Health and, in September 2000, with University College Scarborough. A Medical School, run jointly with the University of York, admitted its first students in 2003. Since then Hull University has established links with other institutions in Yorkshire and Lincolnshire through its Associate College network.
