Our courses cover a range of areas, including fine art, glass, photography, curating, illustration and graphics. They bring together practical skills and theoretical knowledge so you make a fast start in a career.

Sunderland is a widely acknowledged creative arts center with facilities for every aspect of the arts. These include the National Glass Centre – Western Europe’s premier centre for glass blowing – which houses one of the largest kilns in Europe complete with areas for glass-blowing and grinding, and throwing, hand-building and plaster turning ceramic workshops. Students can also make use of specialist facilities for mould making, architectural glass, printing, water jet cutting and lampworking. There are well equipped photographic studios, darkrooms, workshops and general studios available for visual arts and photography use. Performing arts also has well equipped areas for study including state of the art music technology equipment and brand new dance studios.
