Sunderland University offers a range of successful programmes to suit people from all sorts of backgrounds and all types of interests in sports science. The course is designed to develop general knowledge and skills of coaching, exercise leadership and management, introductory sports and exercise sciences, and the social contexts in which sport and exercise exists. This gives students a chance to choose a specialist route whether they are in coaching, health and fitness, sports development, or sports science.
The courses are run in cooperation with other colleges so that students get a wide range of skills and expertise. Sunderland has recently built a brand new sports science laboratory with excellent and state of the art facilities.
